Purpose

MEARS is a flexible web-based application that allows project offices to create, review, add comments, and vote on engineering change documents. In addition, MEARS provides a Virtual Configuration Control Board (CCB) for processing the below documents:
- Engineering Change Proposal (ECP)
- Request for Variants/Waiver (RFV/RFW)
- Specification Change Notice (SCN)
- Standard Routing Form (SRF)
- Maintenance/Modification Work Order (MWO)
- Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL)
MEARS is managed by the US Army Aviation and Missile Life Cycle Management Command (AMCOM) located at Redstone Arsenal Alabama. MEARS has supported the Department of Defense Warfighters, Homeland Security, other US Government agencies, Commercial Industry and approved Foreign Governments for over 20 years.
